Calcium deposits

Normally, calcium in the human body is located in the bones and teeth. The presence of calcium outside of these structures is called a calcium deposit. These diseases are particularly widespread in the musculoskeletal system, either at the periphery of the joints (calcific tendonitis or bursitis of the shoulder), or in the muscles (myositis ossificans).
