Anticoagulant
Chemical substance having the property of blocking blood coagulation. This medication comes in many forms:
- Oral: Coumadin, Eliquis, Xarelto
- Intravenous: Heparin
- Subcutaneous: low molecular weight Heparin, of which Innohep is the best known.
